EQPROJECT MANAGERS & SAFETY SOLUTIONS is essentially a growing enterprise providing services in construction industry. We offer our services to the following entities: Contractors, Municipalities, Consultants, Private Companies, State Owned Enterprises (SOE) andProvincial Government Departments. Our main focus is currently on construction industry. Consulting companies normally appoint us as Occupational Health and Safety Agents where we get involve in the following activities: Application for construction work permit as per the requirements of Construction Regulation (3), Compilation of Occupational Health and Safety Specification, Compilation of Baseline Risk Assessment, Evaluation and Approval of Occupational Health and Safety Plans, conducting Monthly Health and Safety Audits as well as facilitating and training employees on safe work procedures.


Basic Construction Related "SHE" Services

Develop a project specific baseline risk assessment.

Advise the client about his legal obligations relating to Health and Safety.

Develop documentation to be submitted to Department of Labour when submitting application for Construction work permit.

Development of a project specific health and safety specification based on the baseline risk assessment.

Evaluation of Principal Contractor’s Health and Safety Plan and thereafter approval of such if it is correct, if not discussion of areas of concern with the Principal Contractor.


AUDITS:
LEGAL COMPLIANCE AUDIT

The SHE Management System is assessed against the requirements of the OHS Act 85 of 1993 and its regulations as well as other applicable legislation, i.e. COID Act. Applicable Industries: manufacturing, engineering, office environment, retail, warehousing, agriculture, construction and building.

Assisting and advising on the cost of health and safety compliance.

Provide input on the design of the structures on the aspects of health and safety.

Assessment of appointed contractors safety files.

Construction Site SHE Audits monthly as required by law.

Conduct ad hoc site visits on construction sites.

Awareness programs.

CONSULTATION

General occupational health and safety consultation.

Risk assessment facilitation and review.

Workplace consultation, e.g. machine safety assessment and recommendations.

Documentation development: policies, registers, appointment letters, safe work procedures etc.

Formulation of emergency evacuation plans and procedures.

CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM (SAFETY FILE) SITE AUDIT:

Audits are conducted on behalf of any of the parties involved in a construction project, such as the Client, Principle Contractor and / or Sub-Contractors as required by the OHS Act and regulations (specifically the Construction Regulations) as well as client specifications.

GAP ANALYSIS AUDIT:

Involves the identification of short comings of the SHE Management System in preparation of certification audits.

LIMITED SCOPE AUDIT:

Specific aspects of the SHE Management System, such as the system standards, procedures, physical compliance or any part thereof is / are assessed against client specification.
